D. N. Mamin-Sibiryak . By Trans-Urals. Travel Notes. 1886 (edition 1952 .) ), Dop. Information: From the almanac "South Ural" 1952 . Scanned only material "In the Urals . Travel Notes" pen D. N. Mother-Siberian . Fragments of text...To the Kyshtym plant itself, the road fits with magnificent boron. The factory church is visible through the lake. This plant is considered the most beautiful in the Urals, even more beautiful than Kasley, but, in our opinion, this is not fair: both plants are good in their own way. Kyshtym is located in the mountains, but it lacks water compared to Kasly - Irtyas is left behind, and in the plant only one pond, which after the lakes and do not want to look. Then in Kyshtym you will not meet the Kasli contentment and the key of the beating life - the buildings are falling down, many empty houses and in general the abomination of desolation . is introduced. Once Kyshtym was famous as a boisterous place, but now everything has gone to Castley... Soon the corner of the last huge mountain lake Uvilda appeared, which is 25 versts in length and 20 versts in width. Depth reaches 25 fathoms. The remarkable thing is that the water in the Uwilds is completely transparent, and you can clearly see each pebble at the depth of several seedlings. As they say, this is the most beautiful of the mountain lakes: from all sides the forest, many islands, and t. d. We could see only a small bay, into which the mountain river Cheremshanka flows, but here also opens to the eye a charming panorama - the whole shore is exactly covered with thick sedges and laudasses, and the blue water looks out from its green frame with the most bizarre patterns . In the wide windows quietly fed duck brood, which I counted to a dozen ......So we drove and watched. The further away, the better. Fast Miyas spilled more and more widely, taking in the brisk mountain streams: birch groves were replaced by pine trees, the Ilmen mountains went with bluish ovals on the left, and on the right the Southern Urals . rose. And in this blessed valley there is almost no habitation, - empty and free all around, and except for the predatoryly cut old pines, nothing spoke of the presence of man. - There and the shoe went... - poked the "teacher" with a knuckle on the orphanly sticking out in an open field of rubble . Palaces! It was the first real Bashkir village on our way . There were only five or six huts and what huts: skewered, without roofs, with one window and without any household appliances . The logs are made ineptly, the canopy is also around nothing alive: no livestock, no chicken .. Something so dead smelled of this run-down Bashkir housing, and in two steps a great timber forest, immediately under the nose of the richest meadows and Bashkir black soil . We drive around the village - empty, like a cemetery ... Lake Turgoyak was the last one on our way . It lay in the mountains and on the open shore scattered their houses more of the village of the same name .. From a distance the picture is very beautiful, but near it loses its charm, like almost all Russian picturesque areas - the huts stretched out into a dirty wide street, and at least one garden or bush . And the mountains here look very harshly with their grayish-blue tones, which indicates a high position above sea level. In Turgoyak there is a stone church, a mill and, it seems, no more attractions..... How great the fish riches really are, the best proof is such an example: Lake Kyshtymsky dachas bring more income than the plants themselves, which are considered to be among the best in the Urals, although the fishing industry is conducted in the most predatory way, and there was not even a mention of any methods of pisteculture. It can be said with confidence that the Kaslin fish manufacturers did everything possible to lime the fish in the lakes, but the most heroic efforts were in vain: the fish breeds with amazing speed and calls for its destruction of new brilliant entrepreneurs...... But Zlatoust is distinguished not only by the lack of tracts - it also does not have a single secondary educational institution: no gymnasium or progymnasium, but only one district school and then, it seems, recently opened. This surprises you: the whole city and one county school . Add to this the fact that this is the only city in Russia that exists as if between heaven and earth: it does not have its own land. The secret of this music is that Zlatoust was transformed into a county town in 1865. from the state-owned mining plant, and the mining department still does not want to give up its land-related rights . The city has no land......... Approaching the Miassky plant, you feel that you are going down into the plain, which from here flows with an immense carpet, up to the real Siberian ridges. Miyas factory lay down on p. Miyasu in a wide valley, and in its appearance decisively nothing remarkable does not represent, except one river, this deep and rugged mountain beauty, full of still wild freshness. Around the bare hilly plain, the mountains remain in the west, making up a rather picturesque background, whisked by a bluish-purple haze. Factory buildings are like everywhere in factories: straight, wide streets, a bunch of good houses in the center, a church, etc. d. There is a pond and some factory structure . But the interest of Miassian life is concentrated near a long stone building with a sign: "The main office of Miass gold mines". By itself, the Miassky plant in the Urals can be considered one of the main gold nests, followed by Yekaterinburg and Kushva... Screenshots
