The brochure is devoted to a little-known fact in the history of the Crimean War. In the spring of 1854, during the Crimean War, news came to Solovki that an enemy attack could be made on the monastery fortress and therefore one should prepare for defense. In this regard, several guns with shells are sent from Arkhangelsk to the monastery, but soon a detachment of monks and monastic workers capable of military work is assembled, which gave a serious rebuff to the invaders.
