After long wanderings, they settled in Turkey, where the Russian colony existed until their return to their homeland in 1962. For 250 years of life in emigration, the Cossacks retained the customs brought from the Don, the Orthodox faith and the native Russian language - the Don dialect in its archaic form. "Dictionary of the Cossacks-Nekrasovtsy" - a single work, which presents a more or less complete description of the unique dialect . The dictionary contains 2920 dictionary articles. Each of them includes illustrative texts - samples of real speech of the speakers of the dialect, characterizing its vocabulary, phonetics and grammatical structure.
