Reproduced by photomechanical method from 1869 edition. In the list of scientists L. 3. Budagov's best, withstood the test of time, was a "comparative dictionary of Turkish-Tatar dialects?", which left a deep trace in the history of Turkic lexicography. A comparative dictionary of Turkish-Tatar dialects requires an explanation, which we find in the preface (?From the author?), where it is said that in the dictionary a group of dialects (languages) of the most common ones is compared... ? and what should not be concluded from this title that the author wants to pass off his work as an interpreter of all the dialects (languages) of the Turkic root?.
