The book contains a lot of useful and diverse information for aquarium lovers. It describes with sufficient completeness the design, manufacture, device, maintenance and technical equipment of aquariums, conditions for keeping and breeding fish (about 400 species) and cultivation of plants (about 200 species), considered diseases of fish and plants and methods of their treatment. The use of a large amount of foreign literature allowed the author to acquaint the reader with the achievements of foreign aquarists. Such a book has not yet been published in Russian and it will undoubtedly serve as a useful guide to aquarium lovers.
