The book is a physics textbook for students of higher technical educational institutions and consists of three parts: 1) mechanical and thermal motion, 2) electromagnetic field, 3) structure and properties of matter .. Thus, optics and electrodynamics are presented from a single point of view, and all the problems of the structure of atoms, molecules and solids are given sequentially on the basis of the knowledge obtained in the first two parts of the book. The manual is also relatively small in volume, originality and modern presentation .. The second edition has been revised in connection with the need to reflect in the book the development of physics in recent years.
