The monograph describes modern methods for calculating rod and plate structures for static and dynamic loads, as well as for stability. The main attention is paid to one of the most effective methods for solving boundary problems of mechanics - a numerical and analytical version of the boundary element method developed by the authors. Other methods are also considered, in particular the finite element method, which has an important practical and methodological significance. The presented methods are illustrated by a large number of examples with brief instructions explaining the algorithm of the solution. A significant place is given to the mathematical formulation of problems and their solution in Delphi, Visual Fortran and MATLAB programming environments. For students, graduate students and teachers of higher technical educational institutions, specialists in the field of mechanics of deformable solid and construction mechanics .
