The guidelines are intended for students of the Faculty of History with advanced study of English (1-2 year) and students studying in the specialty "International Relations" (1-2 year) . The purpose of these guidelines is to improve the skills of writing official and informal letters and familiarity with the requirements for writing letters when writing an FCE exam, and with the system for assessing them. The manual contains authentic letters selected from modern textbooks, accompanied by various tasks. Task types presented in the manual are selected by the compilers based on the analysis of FCE tests (Paper 2 - Writing) as the most common. The manual is provided with an Appendix containing the lexical and grammatical means necessary for writing official and unofficial letters
