This etymological dictionary of the Chuvash language is built as a comparative etymological reference, taking into account the achievements of both Chuvash etymology and Turkic etymology in general. It cannot claim a comprehensive etymological analysis of the lexical units presented in it. Many of the etymologies and comparisons proposed by the author are preliminary and should be considered as material for further etymological research. This dictionary covers about 2600 words, which, of course, is a very small part of the vocabulary of the Chuvash language, which needs etymologization.
