Wentzel, in my opinion, is the best author of books on probability theory and operations research. The style of presentation is lively and immediate, but not at the expense of theory. Her books are easy to read and, importantly, memorable. Unlike the previously published book of 1964 edition, the proposed book focuses not on the military, but on the civilian application of "Operations Research".
