Anna Evdokimovna Labzina is the daughter of court councilor Evdokim Yakovlevich Yakovlev, in her second marriage she is married to A.F. Labzin. founder of the Masonic lodge and vice-president of the Academy of Arts. In her memoirs, she frankly and ingenuously describes the picture of the rural life of a poor average noble family, outlines her inner life, dwelling mainly on the presentation of her own and other people's reasoning. The book also contains excerpts from the diary of A.E. Labzina in 1818. From an everyday point of view, her memories are valuable as a monument to a bygone era, as material for the history of Russian culture of the mid-18th century.
