The story 'The Foggy Lizard' was published in the newspaper for teenagers 'Dangerous Age' in 2000, when the author was barely 15 years old. And this was not parody at all, but “serious” fiction. Years passed, and the author, having fished out old newspapers from the dusty archive, suddenly came across the fruit of his labor, or rather, the fruit of the labor of another, fourteen-year-old Vasily Gavrilenko. While reading, he remembered how fun and easy this story was to write, but at the same time he realized that this, of course, was a parody of science fiction - also a genre, and a fairly respected one. All these blasters, ships, space - they did not at all attract twenty-three-year-old Vasily, and he began to mercilessly correct the story. How angry fourteen-year-old Vasya would probably have been! But he is no longer on Earth, only memories and... 'Mist Lizard' remain about him. A story written by a boy who dreamed of visiting the past, the future, and flying to the stars. And there is no doubt that by writing it, he fulfilled his dream and visited distant worlds. And paying tribute to this boy and all his comrades, real or sacred, twenty-three-year-old Vasily dedicates the story:
Boys who dream of flying to the stars
