Nikolai Yakovlevich Shagurin was born in 1963 in Kharkov. His first stories were published in the magazine “Around the World” in 1930. Working in the press as an essayist and feuilletonist, N. Shagurin simultaneously wrote a number of books for children: “The Silver Sailor”, “Sea Tales”, “Three Sailors”. But his favorite genre is adventure and science fiction. N. Shagurin’s novels and short stories were published in the magazines “Red Armyman and Red Navy Man”, “Ural Pathfinder”, in various collections and periodicals. Readers interested in science fiction and adventure know N. Shagurin from the books “Ruby Star” (1955), “Island of Great Lightning” (1956), “Argus against Mars” (1967), etc., published in Krasnoyarsk.N. Shagurin is a member of the CPSU, a member of the Union of Writers of the USSR.
