Korean writing in mixed script is the kind of writing in which native words are written alphabetically in the Korean alphabet (Han’gŭl) and words of Chinese origin (Sino-Korean words) are written in their original Chinese characters. ThisReaderis an introduction to mixed script writing, and is intended for students who have at least the basics of Korean phonology, grammar and Han’gŭl orthography.
