A miracle child was born to ordinary parents in Guslyar. Not even a year old, but he already speaks and reads, and not only in Russian, and writes articles on medical topics. But parents don’t need such a prodigy. And they diligently ignore everything unusual. Only old man Lozhkin is on Lenechka’s side. Written in 1973, the story appeared in March 1980 under the title “Leshenka-Leonardo”, because the editors tried to hide the allusion to Brezhnev in the title “Lenechka-Leonardo” and only in 1987 did the story succeed return the old name.
