In Vasily Berezhny’s story “Cosmic Niagara” (Kosmichna Niagara, 1971), two lovers - the physicist Ari and the philosopher Alga - two of the huge crew of the giant starship Saturn, which has been flying in the vastness of the Universe for a thousand years, go forward along course in order to trace the strange changes in field parameters recorded by instruments. After a few years, they find themselves in a kind of cosmic current, in which time begins to run faster and faster. Onnies begin to age intensively and, already on the verge of death, end up in the center of the metagalaxy, where they gain immortality.
