The story “The Noosphere Phenomenon” is included in the collection “Sensation on Mars.”

A brief summary of the work (opening the spoiler - you only have yourself to blame!) In another “Japanese” work by Vasily Berezhny - the story “ The Phenomenon of the Noosphere" (Phenomenon Noosphere, 1972), tells how a certain cosmic civilization, observing the inhabitants of the Earth, discovered a very powerful impulse of talent. Its source turned out to be a poor Tokyo artist, misunderstood and of no use to anyone, whose life ended in utter poverty, on a park bench.
