The training manual shows the possibilities of processing (OD) in industry, the basics (material and nature of plastic deformation, forging and press equipment and the main operations of metal processing by pressure) are considered. Particular attention is paid to the varieties of volume and sheet stamping, as the most widely used operations of OD, and the work shows not only the main stamping operations, but also auxiliary ones - rolling for workpieces, burr trimming, heat treatment and calibration of forgings . The basics of automation of volume and sheet stamping, as well as ways to combine stamping operations as one of the directions of automation of technological processes are shown. In the work, along with the main options for the use of OD, promising options are shown, including obtaining blanks from powder materials and plastic masses and the basis of these industries. Issues of localization of foci of deformation are considered both in the manufacture and hardening, and in the repair of parts and tin works. Data on labor protection and safety of forging-stamp production are given. In a separate section, the design and calculation of the workpiece is made with the necessary reference and standardized data, and an example of such work is given in the annex.
