The dictionary is the first issue of the series, covering the world fauna of all systematic groups of the animal world and consists of 6 issues: Mammals, Amphibians and Reptiles, Birds, Fish, Invertebrates. It includes 5391 names of mammals of the world fauna in Latin, English, Russian, German and French languages. The material is arranged in a systematic order, in accordance with the classification adopted in modern zoology .. Names are given to orders, families, genera, species. The dictionary is provided with indexes in all five languages, an alphabetized list of Latin species names is given. It is intended for biologists, students, graduate students, as well as for translators.
