The second book in the series "Non-stationary stars and methods of their study" contains information about eruptive stars, the brightness of which changes irregularly due to violent explosive processes on the surface of the star. The physics of these stars is of particular interest. Some of them are young stars, while others correspond to the late stages of the evolution of close binary systems. As in the first book, the observed characteristics of stars of different types are considered and present current views on their nature, and, where possible, evolutionary history. In the same book, a special chapter is devoted to magnetic variable stars.
